Villains and Voodoo Commences

The Villains and Voodoo tour is underway! Fans from all over the world have come to the famous New Orleans in the USA to take part in the adventure. Many familiar faces have come back to "Bond" along with many more.

Upon arrival to Bourbon Street, a Live and Let Die location, the fans were treated to a Brass band echoing the scene from the movie. I wonder who played dead for the coffin? Rich?

At this time they have boarded their Carnival Cruise ship and await their next adventure in Key West, Florida. I'm told that Q-Branch has provided the members with special equipment to get liquid contraband past the SPECTRE guards. Well done spies! That should keep you well hydrated on the sea says. For 1 day at least.

Key West will feature the Bond locations of Licence to Kill and Nassau is still in their sites in the near future. In Key West the aficionados will visit the Hemmingway House where Bond had his Licence to Kill revoked!

Stay tuned for the latest on Station C Canada while the events unfold.

Goldeneye Bungee Jump

Bond fans will recall the opening sequence of Goldeneye features 007 jumping off a dam in Russia right before his rendezvous with Agent 006.  This stunt can actually be done for real at Verzasca Dam in Switzerland.

Mark the Man!

Goldeneye Bungee Jump

In August 2010, six brave Bond Fans took the plunge and jumped off the Dam part of Operation: Euro:2010(07).  Once again,  Theme Party People made this happen.  It was a long way down but well worth it!  Rich, Leslie, Lindsay, Mark, Daniel and I were the ones recreating the scene from the movie.  Although Daniel didn't volunteer to jump till last minute which saved him from a few days of "Well it was nice knowing you!" remarks trying to psych us out!  All in good fun though!

In a few days they will be back at it again in the Caribbean giving fans exclusive access to 007 filming locations.

St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church - Licence to Kill

In the 1989 James Bond movie Licence to Kill, Felix Leiter gets married in Key West, Florida to Della Churchill.  The local church in Key West is St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
The sequence in the movie has Della waiting and waiting for Felix to show up to the wedding.  Her father gets frustrated and tells her that she has made a mistake!  Unknown to Della, James Bond and her future husband Felix Leiter were after a notorious drug dealer named Frans Sanchez.  Bond and Leiter watch Sanchez get away in a plane heading into Cuban airspace.  Bond decides to not give up and the chase is on as he instructs the Coast Guard helicopter to start to chase the plane.  With the winch and cable, 007 "catches" the plane and the helicopter pulls it in.  Bond and Leiter Parachute down into Key West and land directly in front of St. Mary's Church just in time for the wedding.
Click on this picture.  Is that Sanchez plane directly above the steeples of the church?

Trivia:  The last picture was taken from the light house where a sniper shoots at Bond in the Hemingway house.   Those pictures will come to Station C Canada in the future.
