It's official.  Bond 23 will have it's Press Conference on the 3rd of November in London.  At this time we will hope to have the title revealed. Will the title be Skyfall?

Traditionally, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli will be in attendance along with James Bond himself Daniel Craig.  Look for Sam Mendes, the films director to be there along with any other key film characters.

Some recent news circulating around Bond 23, (speculated to be called Skyfall), is that filming will take place on the 7th of November.  This is reported by the SUN and not yet by EON.  The Sun claims that the action will commence immediately with Daniel Craig and a chase will take place involving a Jaguar and a Range Rover.

The action is said to take place in Smithfield Market in Central London.

Bond fans will recall that Casino Royale started filming action immediately to ease Daniel Craig into the role.

Javier Bardem - Bond 23 - Villian

Javier Bardem is confirmed as a up coming villain in the yet untitled 23rd James Bond Film.  Many people will recall Javier Bardem as the deadly Anton Chigurh in the oscar winning movie, No Country For Old Men.  
Javier tells reporters at the LA Times that, “I’m a huge fan of the James Bond saga,” Bardem said. “When I was little, I went watching Mr. Connery doing James Bond with my father. Who in the world would think I’d be in one of those movies?”


Sam Mendes, the Bond 23 Director,  impressed Bardem in a meeting and after Bardem read the script he was hooked.  “They’re changing the whole thing, the whole dynamic,” Bardem said. “I’d be playing Bond’s nemesis, yes, but it’s not that obvious. Everything is more nuanced. It’s very intriguing.”


Bardem this week as asked bluntly during an interview with ABC,  "about the next villain you are going to play, in James Bond". He answered, "I am very excited, my parents took me to watch the movies, and I saw all of them, and to play that is going to be fun. They chose me to play this man, but I cannot give you many details."



Will SkyFall be the title of the newest James Bond film?    Who will Javier Bardem play?  Will Blofeld be back?  Will Quantum be back?

Bond 23 Press Conference Next Month

Their has been many rumours and speculations in the last few weeks.  Will the title be Skyfall?  Who will the Bond girls be?  The villains?

Thankfully EON has finally came out with a message saying that they will hold a press conference next month.  As usual, the press conference will put many of the rumours to rest and will also introduce the principal casting, possibly the title and officially kick off the filming.

As far as locations go, Duntrune Castle in Scotland has been scouted as a place to shoot the finale Bond 23.  Bond fans will recall that the John Gardner novel Licence Renewed and the Charlie Higson, Young Bond Novel Silverfin also featured Castles in the same region.

When the press conference roles around, look for more information to become official.  This is an exciting time as Bond is on his way BACK!

Skyfall = Bond 23 ?

Many sources are reporting that Sony Pictures have registered a domain names involving "James Bond" and the word "Skyfall".

You'll recall that Bond 22's title was found the same way 24 hours before the release date when Sony registered Quantum of Solace.  Is this the new title to the movie or is Sony providing us with miss direction?

Suit Up! Daniel Craig Talks Tom Ford

Daniel Craig recently spoke to reporters while he was promoting his latest film, "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" in New York about what he will wear in the upcoming Bond 23.  Tom Ford will be back for a second 007 movie in a row.


"Tom's doing the suits. In fact, I've spent a long time with Tom getting a very different look and he's been designing a new set of things [for Bond 23]."
"It's great that he's doing it. It's going to be a new kinda look. It's a new feel. I'm very excited about that. I'm very excited about the suits."


Just like most previous Bond actors, Daniel Craig enjoys the clothes after the films.  He was asked if he enjoyed taking home the costumes. "I probably was when I first did Bond and I was given all these amazing suits and suddenly I've got this huge wardrobe and I'm thinking 'Oh my God, what am I going to wear?'"
"I so do not give a shit anymore!"  He said laughing.  
"I've kind of flipped the other way and if I could just wear jeans and T-shirts all the time I would. But that doesn't mean I don't like getting dressed up. I'm really lucky to have a wardrobe with five or six beautiful suits done by Tom and some other people. So when the time is right, I put them on, and they're beautiful."  Concluded Craig.  


Jany Temime will be the costume designer working with Tom Ford for the up coming Bond film replacing Quantum of Solace's Louise Frogley.  If you were hoping for 5 picture Bond Alumni and Oscar winning Lindy Hemming to remake an appearance you'll have to wait until Bond 24.  Tom Ford did a wonderful job on Quantum of Solace but the only problem is at $1700 per cardigan you will dip once again in to Her Majesty's expense account if you wish to own his duds.  Start saving up now.

James Bond Producers in Istanbul - Skyfall

Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are on the move and they have stopped in Istanbul to visit Ertuğrul Günay, Turkey's Minister of Culture and Tourism.  They have come to Turkey, a Bond 23 location, to give the Minister information regarding the film.
  
“The opening scenes are planned to be filmed in Istanbul, but some other places will also be used outside Istanbul for the film,” said Günay.

Günay commented on the world scale of a James Bond movie “Some places where these films were made have become attractive for tourists. The fact that the opening scene of the film will be made in Turkey will contribute to Turkish tourism. The ministry has been providing big support to the film sector for five years; our filmmakers win international awards. Our goal is to bring international producers to our country, and we do our best to assist foreign filmmakers who want to work here.”

Michael G. Wilson, enjoying the Turkish hospitality said, “It is a great pleasure for us to be in Istanbul for the 50th anniversary of the series.”
“We are proud to see that James Bond is still a well-known character in Turkey,” Barbara Broccoli said.  As a gift to Günay, Wilson and Broccoli gave him a collectors edition of the 007 series.  

This isn't the first time 007 took a trip to Turkey.  Bond has got his passport stamped there in 1963's From Russia With Love with Sir Sean Connery and more recently in 1999's The World Is Not Enough with Pierce Brosnan.

Casting isn't finalized yet but the names should be out ver soon as the principle photography will commence in November.  Ralph Fiennes and Javiar Bardem have Craig remarking, "I hope so, I hope so."

Bond 23 - India Revoked

Eon Productions, the production company of the 007 series, had recently been in talks with India regarding shooting in the country.  Everything was in place and they were just finishing up some final details regarding a stunt on a train.  Station C Canada learned that as of 22 September 2011, Eon Productions have sent an official document to the Indian Ministry's saying that plans to come to India have been cancelled.

Indian Ministry representatives also concur with this report via the Times an Indian News Paper.  

It seems that all the delays and uncertainty regarding the stunts on the railway line have forced EON to look elsewhere for a suitable shooting location.  

South Africa. 

South African news papers were mocking the Indian authorities due to the delays.  

Chandralekha Mukherjee, an Indian Railways representative, told the Times insisting it was not their fault, "We'd given them all the permissions. They wanted to shoot in the Sabarmati yard and had asked to shoot on two gauges - broad gauge and meter gauge - and they wanted these for seven-hour stretches every day for seven days in a row, and we'd agreed. All had been worked out. They also wanted to shoot between Mumbai and Goa on the hero train, and wanted a special shot where a motorcycle from a bridge would jump on to a train, and the coach on which he'd jump needed to be re-enforced, and we agreed."

"The matter was finalised by September 13. But a week later, we were informed that after an international discussion, the production team decided not to shoot in India. We've been very cooperative with them. We had ourselves hoped that the movie would be shot here," she added.

So the Production Team will be shifting their efforts to South Africa and continue with location scouting there.  Istanbul, Turkey and Pinewood Studios London remain the other confirmed shooting locations for the up coming movie.

Daniel Craig Teases Bond 23 Title

The 23rd Bond film may have a title but Daniel Craig is keeping his mouth shut about it.  (under the Official Secrets Act?)
On her Twitter account, CNN correspondent Andrea Mineo wrote:

"I think I'm interviewing Daniel Craig shortly.  Bond baby."

Shortly after writing this she updated her status with:

"So Daniel Craig just told me they are starting the next James Bond film and it's got a title but he wouldn't tell me it."

Will the Bond 23 title be an Ian Fleming title?

James Bond in India

It is official, James Bond will return to India for his latest mission.  It will be is first time back to the country since the 1983 007 movie Octopussy.  
Daniel Craig himself commented on the rumour confirming it's truth to The Telegraph (India).
"We are working on the schedule for India and yes, it’s always exciting to play James Bond and this time is no different."  
When asked if some scenes would be shot in the country he replied:
"Yes, that's true and I am absolutely thrilled about it."
"The next Bond will start in October or November. I've kind of already started preparing for Bond. The script is in really, really good shape and I'm sure there will still be changes because that's just the way it is. But if we shot the script we have at the moment, we'd be in a good way." 
Later he was asked about details on the India shooting.
"Too early to talk about it..."

Rhys Ifans Arrested

Ryhs Ifans was recently rumoured to be casted in the 23rd Bond movie but denied the reports. Friday night at Comic-Con he was reportedly arrested and cited for a misdemeanour for shoving a female security guard.

He went on to have a few choice words for the USA.  Not his finest hour for sure.

He has appeared with Daniel Craig before in the 2004 movie Enduring Love.  If the rumour was true, perhaps this incident will cause the producers to look elsewhere.  Time will tell.

Bond 23 Casting

Welsh actor, Rhys Ifans, will supposedly be joining the cast of the yet untitled Bond 23.   Ifans is said to be in the film along with No Country For Old Men star, Javier Bardem.  MGM has not come out with an official press statement yet confirming or denying this.

The only concrete casting so far is Daniel Craig playing Ian Fleming master spy, Dame Judi Dench playing  M, with Sam Mendes Directing.  Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are returning to write the screenplay for the 5th time and John Logan will be doing the "Paul Haggis script polishing" this time around.  

Bond 23 UK Release Date October 26th 2012

Bond 23

The yet untitled new James Bond movie will be released in the UK on the 26th of October, 2012.  The US release date will be 9 November 2012.

I would like to head to London for the Primere if anyone would like to join :)

This movie would be the 3rd movie to star Daniel Craig as James Bond and it is the longest gap between movies without an actor change. 

I wonder in Quantum will be back or will we see all new villians?
