Turns out that Deaver plus Bond equals success. I was just told via a femme fatale that as she was enjoying the view at a restaurant in a posh hotel and reading Carte Blanche. Her server came up to her and saw what she was reading. This was the servers response:
"OMG Jeffery Deaver wrote the new James Bond novel!!?? I love him! I have to go get it now!"
